Rules

Rules for Weapons and Combat

Alterra will follow all rules and procedures listed in the Dagorhir Manual of Arms, with an exception of the few typos contained in the document. For any questions on rulings, please contact the Grandmasters at Alterra@dagorhir.com.

Rules for Behavior and Conduct

Alterra asks that all attendees to its events adhere to its general rules of conduct. No alcohol is to be consumed at the event, and public drunkenness (regardless of where the alcohol was consumed) is also not allowed. As this is a public park, the proper authorities will be contacted if such circumstances occur. Alterra also asks that its attendees attempt to keep their language at or below a PG-13 level, to retain a professional and family-friendly atmosphere.

Additional Rules of Gameplay

Gameplay:
Alterra's objective is to get to the castle and beat the NWO, while still accumulating as many victories as possible.

Map of Ardania

Rounds:
One round consists of: Movement => Battle => Death Cards.

Battles:
Final Castle Battle - Located at the Castle. Cannot be fought until all NWO Battles have been completed.

NWO Battles - There are four of these battles, located at the Red Arrows. Each of these must be fought before the Alterran Alliance can advance to the Castle. Some are garrisons or outposts of NWO troops, while others are simply key battles for one reason or another.

Random Battles - These occur at various intersections on the road (like an ambush of orcs or bandits, or a scouting group of the NWO, etc).

Movement:
The Alterran Alliance may move one intersection per round (all movement must follow the golden roads). The direction of movement is chosen by volume of shouting (the event organizers will ask "right or left?" and whichever is shouted loudest will be the path taken). The Alliance begins the game at any of the four Green Stars (chosen by the General). After each movement, the event organizers will determine if there is a battle to be fought.

Death Cards:
Death Cards will be distributed to players on both teams after every battle. Death cards consist of: Hale, Incapacitated, and Dead. Hale - continue playing as normal. Incapacitated - Must herald next battle (if drawn twice, pick a new card). Dead - switch teams. Ratio is Hale:Dead:Incapacitated = 10:3:1
